A TRIBUTE TO OUR PART-TIME VOLUNTEERS

By our OSDW reporter

We couldn’t begin do what we do without our  part-time volunteers.  They’re a very dedicated group of people.

One has been back six times!

Take a quick look at some who’ve not only donated their money, but their time, energy and effort.

There are too many to mention, but by paying tribute to these few, we send a message to all our part-time volunteers – “thank you for making a difference.”

Brad, a medical worker from Iowa said,

I came here to help change lives, and mine was the first to be changed.”

"I'll never be the the same after this experience."

Brad said, “this has been a life-changing experience for me. I’ll never be the same.”

Two medical volunteers take a well-deserved break. The med and dental teams saw more than 300 people in need of help..

Dental volunteers work alongside medical volunteers

The dental team brought along a "dental office in a case," which helped give first-class care on remote islands.

But above all, they brought a dedicated team of volunteers, two of whom are shown here polishing the teeth  of indigenous kids.

Young volunteers worked long hours to help those less fortunate.

So, what is OSDW?

Do we catch safe rainwater, or provide medical and dental care, or help gifted students, or help feed malnourished children, or provide glasses which can be adjusted by the user on-the-spot?

The answer is “yes” to all – because, above all, we’re good neighbors, out to help the people we live and work among.

We’re your arms of caring,  your expression of love .

Ten rain catchment tanks.

For ten indigenous schools in critical need of safe water.

In the first ten days of June!

We need your help to get it done.

We salute our volunteers who come back time and again, because they see the work being done.

We thank our donors for your gifts that make  this work possible.

Thank you all — OSDW
