Operation Safe Drinking Water, where the gift of life is given
again and again — every time it rains.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE.
Mother Jessica’s Story
Share an indigenous mother’s “most wonderful day”
You don’t have to install the tank you donate, as these donors did. Our teams will do it for you. You’ll receive photos of the tank with your name on it and school kids or villagers in front, as well as a letter of thanks from them.
Why not get a group together to sponsor your own tank, or hold your own pizza party fund-raiser as one group of friends did?
One donor sponsored a tank as a living memorial to a departed loved one.
It’s raining today where kids are dying from polluted drinking water.
A water tank is all that is needed to save lives.
The donors arrived from the U.S. and bought Mother Jessica a water tank. Hers is the one in the back. Jessica lives over a salt water marsh on an island. |
The donors carried it suspended from a pole
from the sea to her house. |
Jessica was overwhelmed and said,
“Is this really happening?
This is the most wonderful day of my life.” |
Donors Robin and Jennifer from Iowa
and Bruce from Pennsylvania install a rain
catchment gutter on Jessica’s zinc roof.
It started raining as the donors worked. |
Jessica said,“I caught as much water as I
could with these jugs, but it was never enough.
I felt like I was poisoning my own kids”. |
Mom to Mom — Robin, a mother and donor
from Iowa, climbed up on top of Jessica’s
flimsy zinc roof to help install the rain catchment
gutter which feeds water to the tank. Afterwards,
Robin said,“I can’t wait to go back again
to install another tank.” |
Finishing up. The tanks are simple,
easy to maintain, last for years
and refill every time it rains. The only
moving part is a simple faucet. They’re
perfect for use in remote places. |
It rained as it does most afternoons
and the tank quickly filled. Daughter
Alma broke into a smile with the
first cup of water from the tank. |
From left: Donors Jennifer, Glen, Gary, Robin,
and Claire (behind) sign the tank they donated
to Mother Jessica. “We’re going back.”
Donors have decided to go back and install more
safe drinking water tanks. One donor was so moved
he decided to go back as a full-time volunteer. |
Donors from Washington state went to
Central America to install the safe drinking
water tanks they donated and provided
medical and dental services as well.
– They’re going back. – |
SPECIAL DONORS PROGRAM
|
Why not join other donors in getting a group together to sponsor a safe drinking water tank for an indigenous school or village?
The group could be from your church, club, business or just friends having a pizza party fund-raiser. $900 will provide your own tank with your name on it, and last for years, refilling every time it rains.
We’ll send photos of the tank with your name on it and the indigenous school children or villagers in front. We’ll also send the GPS location so you can track your tank on Google Earth. You or someone from your group can go and help install your tank if you wish, or visit your tank and those who get their safe drinking water from it at any time.
One water tank donated by friends at a pizza party is now providing safe drinking water for 72 kids at an indigenous school.
Your own safe drinking water tank will change lives and make a difference.
