If you and your group want to make a difference you can see — come down and help us.
Recycle rain for safe drinking water, help indigenous peoples, travel with a purpose and have an adventure — all in one. Those are the reasons volunteer groups come to our base located in a chain of indigenous islands off the Caribbean coast of Panama. (Maybe see the Panama Canal on your way here.)
We’re not your typical nonprofit organization. We’re all unpaid volunteers and live out among the people we serve.
Groups see the results of their work while still here. Indigenous schools have safe drinking water giving kids a chance to escape the endless cycle of disease.

Almost all the kids have worms from bad water. This causes anemia, dysentery and malnutrition —forcing many to drop out of school, repeating the vicious cycle of poverty among indigenous people.
Safe drinking water provided by volunteers ends that vicious cycle. With safe water kids can get well –and more importantly– stay well.
Volunteering with Operation Safe Drinking Water can make a difference.
One group said, “In just 1 day we installed the tank and left the community with clean water for years to come.”
